A local community event here in Thame, Oxfordshire, to provide an entertainment for all ages, giving the opportunity for local bands to perform and show their talents. A mixture of all sorts of different music and dance with supporting arts and trade stalls and lots of food and drink. A new design to cover the website, Facebook and Twitter accounts, programme, posters and tickets.
The Music in the Park event in Thame, Oxfordshire had its first year in 2011 and was immediately a success. The sun shone, kids ran around and had a great time, friends chatted around a picnic and everyone enjoyed the music from noon until 9-ish.
As we're a local web-design company (within a few minutes walking distance of the event in Thame Elms Park), we offered our help for free and quickly knocked up a basic website design to get us started. We are also happy to provide free web and email hosting.
In the second year, another member of the committee took over the graphic design, and we had a fabulous new design of website, posters and programme. iCatching Design converted the Photoshop layouts to a working web-site and we had yet another sunny May day with an even greater attendance!
For 2013, we wanted another new design that refelected the event as a fun family event and we took over the design as well as the coding. Somehow, we also managed to agree to produce all the printed material too - the various posters spread around the toen and in local shops, the tickets for the event and the A6 48-page programme. As expected, the content was all very much last-minute, but we all coped!
